Over Forty Years of Keeping Our Word

We are a family-owned commercial contractor in Florida built on a simple premise: technical excellence and genuine human partnership are not competing priorities.

Our Story

A Legacy Worth Building

The foundation of McLauchlin & Company was laid in 1979 when Jerry McLauchlin joined a partnership called FMC Construction. When that partnership reached a crossroads, Jerry made a defining choice. He chose to stay lean, stay focused, and stay true to his values. In 1986, McLauchlin & Company formally took shape.

From the beginning, the company was built around complex, regulated, high-stakes construction. Jerry’s decision to focus on medical construction was a reflection of who he is. He believed in open communication, keeping his word, and understanding that the relationship with the owner matters more than the transaction. He knew that doing things well and fairly builds a lasting reputation.

That belief is the foundation of everything McLauchlin & Company is today. As a multigenerational construction company, our leadership team is carrying that legacy forward. We are evolving to thrive in a changing market while deepening our commitment to relationship-building, technical excellence, and genuine partnership. The healthcare facilities, senior living communities, and commercial spaces we build serve real people for decades. The relationships we build outlast any individual project.

Our Mission & Values

The McLauchlin Standard

Our core values are not aspirational statements. They are the standards against which every decision we make is measured. The McLauchlin Standard is the expression of these values in practice. It means answering the phone. It means showing up when we say we will. It means communicating proactively, even when the news is difficult. It means treating our Trade Partners with the same respect we show owners, because without them, there is no company.

Integrity

We keep our word. We tell the truth, especially when it is difficult. We do what we say we will do, and we own it when we fall short.

Accountability

We take ownership of outcomes. We do not deflect, delay, or minimize. When something goes wrong, we address it directly and solve it.

Partnership

We are in the business of building relationships, not closing transactions. We invest in the people we work with. Before, during, and after every project.

Excellence

We hold ourselves to a high standard in everything we do, from the quality of our construction to the clarity of our communication to the way we treat the people around us.

Community

We believe in giving back to the communities we help build. We support the organizations and initiatives of our clients and partners, and we invest in the people and places that make our region a place worth building.
